FAIR DISCIPLINE POLICY
 

The expectations of good discipline at Dubbo South Public School
Dubbo South Public School has the following expectations of all students

Sustained application to learning

Respect for other individuals and their property

Courtesy to other students, to teachers and to community members

bullet

Due respect for teachers

bullet

No violence, discrimination, harassment, bullying or intimidation

bullet

No weapons

bullet

No illegal drugs, alcohol or tobacco

bullet

Peaceful resolution of conflict

bullet

Adherence to the standards of dress determined by the school community

bullet

Compliance with school rules and the School Discipline Policy
 

While meeting these expectations, students also have the right to expect courtesy, fairness, respect and excellence in teaching.

Provide appropriate curriculum to meet the needs of each student

bullet

Support children in achieving success in learning

bullet

Develop a small number of easily understood rules which are fair, clear and consistently applied

bullet

Discuss with parents their role in promoting acceptable student behaviour

bullet

Attend appropriate training and development programs

bullet

Provide appropriate support programs, e.g. counselling, remediation

bullet

Provide programs that develop self-discipline, self-evaluation, communication and conflict resolution skills.
